DefiLlama dates a StakeStone STO cliff the docs skip
DefiLlama prices StakeStone's next STO cliff at $657,709 for 21.35 million tokens. The project's chart states the allocations, and the day is the tracker's.

DefiLlama's unlock page, read on November 1, 2026, places the next StakeStone (STO) cliff at 07:11 UTC on November 2: 21.35 million STO, marked on that page at $657,709, equal to 9.48% of the circulating supply the tracker displays. StakeStone's tokenomics chart, the document DefiLlama cites, uses yearly labels from January 2026 through January 2031, so the day and the five-way split are the tracker's figures. The same split between a project document and a tracker clock has already shown up in Kamino's KMNO vest and the Falcon Finance FF unlock.
The clock DefiLlama is running
On the DefiLlama StakeStone unlock page, the November 2 release is event 20 of 61 and is labelled a cliff equal to 2.14% of max supply. The page splits the tokens five ways: investors 8.96 million STO, the foundation 3.67 million, the team 4.17 million, ecosystem and treasury 833,333.33 STO, and community 3.72 million, together marked at $657,709. Beside the calendar, DefiLlama showed STO at $0.031, a market cap of $6.94 million, 24-hour volume of $4.38 million, circulating supply of 225.33 million STO and a max supply of 1 billion. A note under the schedule says it is based on the chart in StakeStone's documentation.
The page StakeStone published
The allocation table in StakeStone's documentation sets the max supply and the total supply at 1,000,000,000 STO, and the initial circulating supply at 225,333,333 STO when the token listed on Binance. The buckets are investors 21.5%, the foundation 18.65%, community 17.87%, the team 15%, marketing and partnership 9.13%, airdrop and future incentives 7.85%, liquidity 6%, and ecosystem and treasury 4%. The release schedule on that page, repeated on the governance tokenomics page, is a stacked chart whose liquidity, marketing and airdrop bands sit flat from the left edge, while community rises across the window and the investor, team and treasury bands turn up around the January 2027 label. Binance's listing notice of May 2, 2025 used that same 225,333,333 circulating figure, 22.53% of max supply, and opened spot trading at 16:00 UTC.
The documentation also names the holding addresses for investors, the foundation, the team, ecosystem and treasury, and community, and says those wallets are run with multi-signatures and cold storage. It says a vesting contract would be set up within half a year after the token generation event, before investor vesting starts, audited before deployment, with the details updated once that deployment is complete.
Which float the 9.48% uses
DefiLlama's 9.48% uses the 225.33 million circulating line, the tracker's rounding of the 225,333,333 STO Binance published at the May 2025 listing. The same DefiLlama page says 45.76% of supply is unlocked. Applied to the 1 billion cap StakeStone states, 45.76% is 457.6 million STO, roughly double the circulating figure inside the percentage-of-float claim, so the 21.35 million STO tranche is about 4.7% of that unlocked stock. The dollar value, $657,709, is about 15% of the $4.38 million in 24-hour volume printed on the unlock page, and it lines up with a market cap of $6.94 million built on the smaller float. DefiLlama's final allocation still shows 49.7% non-circulating, so the unlocked share and the circulating share are two stocks on one screen.
Total Value Locked (TVL) in the staking pools is a different stock from STO sitting in a vesting wallet. DefiLlama's protocol series, timestamped 07:09 UTC on November 1, 2026, put StakeStone liquidity at about $21.2 million, almost all of it on Ethereum, with a thin remainder on BNB Chain. Charles K, founder of StakeStone, told Foresight News on August 7, 2024 that "high TVL often comes with massive liabilities, accumulated aggressively to compete, placing heavy repayment pressure on secondary markets." Tokens that convert to vote-escrowed STO (veSTO) leave the spot offer. That $657,709 cliff is large only when the denominator is the listing-era float.
What the wallets can settle
The next observable sits in those published addresses. StakeStone said unvested tokens would be held in multisig, hardware wallets and, once deployed, a vesting contract. A transfer out of the investor, foundation, team, treasury or community wallet on November 2 would match the DefiLlama clock, while a day with those balances unchanged would leave 07:11 UTC as a reconstruction of a yearly chart. Desks have just worked the same distinction on MemeCore's unlock into a thin book and on Celestia's contributor vest reaching its scheduled end. For STO, the project owns the percentages and the wallets, and DefiLlama owns the November 2 stamp.
