Greg Niebank Promoted To Head of Product at OANDA Global Corporation

Greg Niebank OANDA Global Corporation, the US-based provider of multi-asset class trading and analytical service provider has made yet another addition to its senior-level management team.

The New York-headquartered brokerage has recently made plenty of changes to its senior-level management team via hiring veteran executives and promoting its employees to c-level managerial and leadership roles.

The most recent such move was made public in an official statement released by the firm earlier this week which revealed that it has named Mr. Greg Niebank to serve in the role of Global Head of Product Management.

Mr. Niebank’s new role comes as a promotion less than three months since joining the firm and the announcement seems a bit delayed as information in his LinkedIn profile suggests that he took on his new role by late November.

Greg joined the firm as Product Manager in September of 2019 after taking a short break post resigning from his multi-decade long term at CMC Markets. Prior to taking up his new role at OANDA, Greg spent nearly 22 years serving as part of CMC Markets climbing all the way up the corporate ladder to reach a c-level management role.

Greg began his term with CMC Markets as a Senior Dealer for spread betting department in November of 1997 and was promoted thrice during his multi-decade long term with the firm.

Post nearly eight years as a senior dealer for spread betting desk he did a short stint as a senior dealer for CFD trading desk for APAC region post which he was promoted to the role of Senior Risk Manager for CFD/SB UK Equity Desk. He was then promoted to the role of Group Trading Business Manager in September of 2007 and to the role of Group Head of Product in November 2012 a role he held until he resigned from the firm earlier this year.

Commenting on appointment of Greg Niebank, Kurt Vom Scheidt – Chief Operating Officer at OANDA said, “Over the years, OANDA has earned a reputation for combining state-of-the-art technology with a customer-focused approach, and we remain fully committed to providing clients with access to a wide range of instruments and advanced trading tools through our award-winning platform.

As such, Greg’s extensive knowledge of the industry will be extremely valuable as we continue to develop our product”. Some of the other notable changes made to senior-level management and leadership team at the firm in recent past include the promotion of Mr. Kurt Vom Scheidt to the role of COO from his former role as CPO and appointment of Mr. Gain Bambury and Mr. David Grant as CEO of the Group and COO for the APAC region respectively.
