Virtu Financial, Inc – a New York based leading player in financial services industry recently revealed the addition of new member to its board of directors. As per statement released by the firm, it has hired Ms. Virginia Gambale to serve as an independent director effective immediately. The statement which was released earlier this week revealed that with the addition of Ms. Gambale to its list of directors, the firm’s board is now made up of 12 members of which 9 serve in the capacity of independent directors. The firm is renowned in the industry for its products and services which leverage cutting edge technology to deliver innovative, transparent trading solutions to its clients. The firm is also known for its liquidity services across global markets.
The incoming executive is a veteran with more than two decades of experience and has held multiple senior-level leadership roles in under many leading financial service providers and tier-one brand labels. Some of the most notable leadership roles from her 25 years of career history include – Director of investment banking tech at Merrill Lynch, Chief Information Officer at Bankers Trust Alex Brown, General Partner at ABS Ventures and Partner at Deutsche Bank Capital partners. She has also served as and continues to serve as member of board of directors at many firms. Some of the firm’s where she previously held board membership include – Piper Jaffray, Chicago Trading Company, and Newport Music Festival.
She currently served as member of board of directors at Azimuth Partners, Nutanix, First Derivatives, Regis Corporation and Jet Blue Airways aside from her role at Virtu Financial. Ms. Gambale began her career post graduating from New York Institute of Technology –Old Westbury with a Bachelor’s in Math, Computer Science and Business.
