Binance On-Boards Josh Goodbody as Director of Growth
Binance, a leading player in global cryptocurrency trading industry recently revealed the addition of a new c-level executive to its team. As per the announcement made in the international exchange operators official blog post, it has on-boarded Mr. Josh Goodbody to serve as its new Director of European and Latin American Growth and Institutional Business division. In his new role as Director of Growth, he will be responsible for leading activities geared to expand the firm’s reach and solidify its hold in existing locations in Europe and Latin American market regions. The incoming executive brings with him the knowledge and experience gained from serving under industry-leading banks and investment/wealth/Asset management service providers over a span of nearly 10 years. Aside from his new role with Binance, he is also serving as an Advisor to Founder of Equilibrium – a UK based crypto/blockchain tech firm having held the role for 11 months now. His focus as Director of Growth in Binance moving forward will also be on growing innovative products tailored to requirements of retail and institutional clients.
Before taking up his new role with Binance, he served at Huobi Global for 20 months during which he held the roles of Global General Counsel and Director of Sales/Institutional Business and Head of sales for OTC & Institutional Business for Europe and Americas region. During his term with the firm, he played an important role in establishing its Global Institutional Business department by bringing on more than a thousand institutions and introducing its products and services to global audience. He also helped the firm in ensuring that their products and services successfully comply with business regulations across various jurisdictions during his term with the firm. Aside from Huobi Global, he has served in key roles under State Street, JP Morgan Asset Management, Derivatives Risk Solutions LLP and Autilla Ltd. Given his experience in dealing with legal and compliance departments at various firms, he is an expert in legal and regulatory affairs aside from his knowledge in sales and institutional business verticals.
