Saxo Bank Promotes Stig Christensen as Chief Sales Officer

Saxo Bank - Stig ChristensenSaxo Bank, a Denmark based investment banking specialist known for its multi-asset class trading and investment brokerage services recently revealed the promotion of one of its executives. As per official press release from the firm, it has promoted Mr. Stig Christensen to serve as its Chief Sales Officer effective immediately. Mr. Christensen has been a part of the Copenhagen headquartered firm since 2016 and served in the capacity of Chief Human Resources Officer. While Stig takes on his new role, he will also continue to retain his former role of Chief of Human Resources division until permanent replacement is found as per statement released by the firm. Stig’s promotion to role of Head of Sales division comes following the departure of Mr. Damian Bunce from the role of Chief Commercial Officer. Stig is viewed as a major contributor to firm’s growth given his efforts to develop competence within the bank’s global sales division while ensuring a win-win scenario for both clients and partners.

Christensen is a veteran with more than a decade of experience in wide range of services namely management consulting, executive search and assessment, sales training and sales strategy development. However, it should be noted that his career spans for more than two decades with earlier phase of his career being spent in beverages industry. Some of his most notable roles in multi-decade long career history include – Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates – a New York headquartered management consulting firm and Managing Director/Vice President roles at Carlsberg Group. As Managing Director at Russell Reynolds Associates, he oversaw the firm’s executive search and assessment process alongside other senior executives with special focus on financial services sector. During his 15 year long tenure with beverage group Carlsberg he spent nearly a decade serving in wide range of commercial and management positions based out of Germany and Switzerland and post which he served as Managing Director for the group’s subsidiaries in Paris, France and as VP of Sales for Carlsberg & Tuborg for Danish Market.
