Romain Le Baud Promoted To Head of Marketing at Swissquote

Romain Le BaudA recent announcement made by the Swiss banking giant Swissquote stated that it has promoted Romain Le Baud to the role of head of marketing. Romain has been a part of Swissquote family for the last three years and was serving in the role of deputy chief of marketing specialising in online trading services. However, Romain’s promotion was first made public via changes made in his LinkedIn profile according to which his promotion came into effect this month.

According to information in his profile, his official title is Head Marketing, Vice Director and Member of management and he is working in the bank’s office located in Geneva, Switzerland. Romain landed in Swissquote back in October 2015 in the role of Forex Brand Manager and Associate Director. However, he was promoted to the role of Head Brand and Digital marketing within a year after the joined the banking giant. 

He served in this role for more than two years until his latest promotion announced earlier this month. His new role of Head of Brand & Digital marketing effectively made him the deputy chief marketing officer for the banking giant. In the role of Head of Brand & Digital marketing he was responsible for building and managing a team of 12 marketers and was also responsible for overseeing several other operations at the firm. Baud is a veteran in marketing industry with more than a decade of experience in the industry.

Prior to joining Swissquote, he served as E-commerce Search, Mobile & Analytics Lead at Swatch. As per his LinkedIn profile, Baud started his career in marketing back in January 2006 as a marketing trainee at INES CRM in their office located in France. His role as fully fledged marketing executive began in November of 2007 at Rodier, where he served as one of the firm’s retail marketing executive for nearly two and a half years in their office located in Paris, France. 

Baud spent a vast part of his career working in the marketing department of Swiss watch and Jewellery making firm Swatch Group Ltd in their watchmaking business division based in Switzerland. He was a part of Swatch Ltd for five years and four months joining the firm in May 2010 and served the firm until he resigned in September of 2015. Speaking about his vast career in the marketing industry in his LinkedIn profile, Baud had mentioned, “International marketer with 10 years experience in digital business. I am an open, flexible and hardworking team player with good communication skills and ambitious/positive personality. I enjoy working in a fast-moving, high-energy environment with knowledgeable professionals to grow my company’s visibility & business”.
