Elysium will settle on HyperEVM and take gas in HYPE
Kinetiq's Elysium will settle on HyperEVM and charge gas in HYPE. The homepage names November 9, while the October docs still leave the chain ID open.

Elysium, the Layer 2 (L2) Kinetiq is building as a general-purpose Decentralised Finance (DeFi) chain for Hyperliquid, settles to HyperEVM and uses HYPE as its native gas token. The homepage FAQ says a public mainnet launches on November 9, with a private mainnet running before then. The technical docs, last updated on October 20, 2026, still call the chain pre-launch and say specifications, parameters and timelines may be refined before mainnet. A date on one official surface and a reservation on another is the underwriting problem, the same pattern Industry Spread has already traced when 0xMiden dated a partner mainnet that was narrower than an open launch.
Hyperliquid's dual-block documentation sets fast blocks at one second with a three million gas limit and slow blocks at one minute with a 30 million gas limit. Elysium restates that constraint as three million gas every second on small blocks, and 30 million gas on the 60-second big blocks, then sets a 300 million-gas-per-second execution target on 100 millisecond blocks. On those published rates, 300 million gas per second is 100 times the small-block pace and, on the homepage, 600 times the big-block pace of 0.5 million gas per second. HYPE bridges in 1:1 as native gas and withdraws 1:1. There is no wrapper asset, no staking hop, and no new token to hold just to transact.
What the docs schedule for launch
The launch list is stock ArbOS, native HYPE gas, canonical blocks at 100 to 200 milliseconds, an AnyTrust committee with a certificate on HyperEVM and full-data posting if the committee is unavailable, and settlement on HyperEVM chain ID 999. Token routes cover a canonical bridge, a mirror bridge, and a path toward a HyperCore spot book and a later HIP-3 perpetual. The connecting page publishes testnet chain ID 99801, settling to HyperEVM testnet chain ID 998, marks the mainnet chain ID and explorer as coming soon, and still prints an Alchemy mainnet remote procedure call (RPC) URL. Conduit is named to run the sequencer on its G2 stack. Kinetiq's August 27, 2026 introduction treated HyperCore connectivity as foundational, while the October docs schedule the market-data precompile and the order lane for about four weeks after mainnet.
The HyperCore market-data precompile and the keeper lane that can place orders do not arrive in that first release. The fees page says a market maker should be able to refresh quotes five to 10 times a second cheaply because data availability is committee-based. The security page starts validation permissioned, with one sequencer ordering by priority fee and optimistic withdrawals that finalise after a challenge period. The docs' later hardening list names Arbitrum BoLD and audits.
Who is lining up, and where the fees go
On the testnet ecosystem directory, the Decentralised Exchange (DEX) Nest is marked as announced for the first mainnet block, with KNTQ added to lockers' rewards, Speculate is marked for mainnet, and Dawn is listed as planning support at mainnet. Those rows are announcements on Kinetiq's own directory. Alchemy is labelled the primary RPC provider and described as live on mainnet day one.
The homepage splits sequencer revenue into 25% for builders, 50% to buy KNTQ and send it to the Hyperliquid Assistance Fund for a permanent burn, and 25% for protocol operations. The FAQ says the builder share goes automatically to contracts that consume Elysium blockspace, and the August post called the operations slice the treasury. DeFiLlama's Total Value Locked (TVL) series showed Kinetiq at $894 million on October 24, 2026, about 66% below a $2.65 billion peak on October 4, 2025.
On October 23, 2026 the Elysium account told followers: "We appreciate the community's enthusiasm and eagerness to explore Elysium, but mainnet has not officially launched yet. Please exercise caution with any unofficial tooling and stay vigilant against scams. November 9th, see you on Elysium." The same account pinned a November 9 video on October 19.
What a dated mainnet still leaves to check
For exchanges, market makers and custodians, day one in the docs is a HYPE-gas chain settling to HyperEVM, with bridges and one sequencer, and the order-book read plus the trade-only write path booked for the later upgrade. Whether November 9 holds is the question the October 20 docs left open, and the chain ID cell is the practical tell because it is still marked coming soon. The same date-plus-scope reading applies to CDK Besu going live on Ethereum mainnet for private chains and to Cronos targeting an EVM move.
