DTCC appoints ex-Thomson Reuters as Managing Director of Data Services

The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) announced the appointment of Timothy Lind, former Global Head of Financial Regulatory Solutions at Thomson Reuters, as Managing Director of DTCC Data Services.

Lind will be responsible for leading the firm’s data businesses, including services that leverage the vast amounts of data derived from DTCC’s global processing platforms while ensuring on-going alignment with all risk management and regulatory requirements.
The post-trade market infrastructure commented on the appointment through the voice of Tim Keady, Managing Director and Head of DTCC Solutions: “Tim brings to DTCC more than 25 years of domestic and international experience in the capital markets, including a rich background in data offerings. Tim Lind is an expert in deployment of technology for operational efficiency, data governance, transaction automation, regulatory compliance and risk management. At Thomson Reuters, Lind was responsible for developing and overseeing the growth of solutions to meet regulatory compliance data challenges faced by market participants. He stayed at Reuters for a total of six years.

Prior to Thomson Reuters, he worked at Omgeo (now a part of DTCC) as its Chief Strategy Officer. Other leading positions include Senior Vice President at GoldenSource Corporation, Director at CEB TowerGroup, Manager of Securities & Derivatives at SWIFT, and Senior Business Analyst at Brown Brothers Harriman. Lind joined fintech and regtech consultancy firm RTech Advisors in late 2016, where he still plays the role of strategic consultant.
