Centrifuge lists a Schroders emerging-market bond feeder

Centrifuge lists a Schroders emerging-market bond feeder on Solana. The company page prints £867.8 billion of assets under management; the token is a wrapper.

Centrifuge lists a Schroders emerging-market bond feeder

Centrifuge listed tokenised exposure to the Schroder International Selection Fund Emerging Market Bond on November 4, 2026, and the figure that travelled with the listing is the manager's firm-wide book rather than money placed in the token. Schroders' strategy-update page prints assets under management of £867.8 billion in its half-year 2026 results, up 12% on the comparison shown there. Secondary coverage converts that sterling total into dollar amounts that disagree with one another, so the assets figure used here is the one printed on that company page. Centrifuge's announcement names the fund and places the first deployment on Solana (SOL).

The listing is a feeder, which is the fact a fund desk can use. CoinDesk reported on November 4, 2026 that the vehicle, under the ticker SISF, is legally a feeder fund with an onchain share class. The feeder invests in Schroders' Emerging Market Bond fund, and the investor holds tokenised shares in the feeder rather than shares of the underlying fund. The bonds, the benchmark and the dealing calendar stay with the existing portfolio. Centrifuge added an onchain record of a slice that sits in front of that portfolio.

What the announcement actually specifies

Centrifuge's page says Schroders has invested in emerging-market debt for more than 50 years, with more than 40 dedicated investment professionals, across sovereign, corporate and local-currency strategies. The same page says the fund initially launches on Solana, and it puts tokenised real-world asset (RWA) value on that network at more than $4 billion. That $4 billion is a network stock on the Centrifuge page, separate from the £867.8 billion firm total on the Schroders page. The announcement names the product and the network, and it leaves sleeve size, a subscription minimum and eligible investor categories for a later disclosure.

Chief Strategy and Growth Officer Anil Sood at Centrifuge said in the announcement: "Until now, onchain fixed income has largely been built around cash and short-duration government securities. Emerging markets debt introduces a fundamentally different source of risk and return, backed by one of the world's most experienced active managers in the asset class." Head of Operations, APAC and Digital Assets, Marita Mcginley at Schroders said the firm is "tokenising this specific investment strategy and issuing it on Solana, marking our first deployment on the network."

Cash listings already drew the map

The comparison that matters sits in products that tokenised cash rather than credit. BlackRock's move to tokenise 12 money-market share classes put classes of a cash fund onto a ledger. Aviva's sterling liquidity fund added a tokenised share class to a cash vehicle. Spiko's raise for tokenised cash funded distribution of that cash-like book. Those listings sit close to Treasury bills and short deposits. An emerging-market bond feeder imports credit spreads, local-currency moves and an active manager's country weights, while the token still points at a feeder rather than at each bond.

The Block reported the November 4 launch as Schroders' first deployment on Solana and as a widening of onchain funds past cash into an actively managed strategy. That account lines up with the Centrifuge page. The same site lists, dated October 27, 2026, a Janus Henderson fund that tracks the Nasdaq-100 Index, eight days before the Schroders note. Two large-manager listings in eight days show Centrifuge selling issuance capacity to traditional firms, with portfolio construction left inside each manager's existing fund.

What a fund desk will look for next

A feeder can be the right legal shape for a manager that already runs the strategy. The master fund keeps its administration, its pricing and its existing holders, and the token is a new door rather than a reconstitution of the book. Until Centrifuge or Schroders publishes the assets inside the feeder, a subscription minimum and the investor categories allowed in, an allocator lacks the figures needed to separate a distribution channel from a demonstration. Custodians still need a statement of whether the onchain share is the legal record or a mirror of the administrator's register.

If the feeder publishes a book, a dealing cut-off and a transfer rule, actively managed credit can follow the route cash products already walked, and other emerging-market franchises have a template that leaves the master fund untouched. If the public record stays at the announcement, the £867.8 billion printed on the Schroders page will keep being read as capital that arrived on Solana. India's Demat 2.0 tokenised bond pilot is the parallel test, because bond tokens are also being tried inside market infrastructure.
