Uranium Digital sells ownership records of physical metal

Uranium Digital sells one-pound ownership records of physical yellowcake after a $16.5 million Series A, with delivery still gated by a converter account.

Uranium Digital sells ownership records of physical metal

Uranium Digital sells ownership records of physical metal, and the drums stay in storage while the record changes hands. Each digital warehouse receipt on its institutional platform stands for one pound of triuranium octoxide (U₃O₈), the yellowcake form used in physical uranium dealing, held at an accredited facility in North America and audited one for one against the receipt. DGLD already records one ounce of PAMP gold on Solana while the bar stays in a vault, and Uranium Digital's receipt terms, last updated in August 2026, mint the uranium claim on the Solana blockchain, with any further network left as a later option.

On November 5, 2026 Uranium Digital said it had closed a $16.5 million Series A led by @bcap, the account of Blockchain Capital, with earlier investors taking part, to extend product and technology for institutions seeking uranium-market access. Partner Yuan Han Li wrote the same afternoon: "We invested in Uranium Digital because we believe it can modernize that market." His post contrasts that receipt with the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust, whose units lack a redemption into metal, and with the uranium future that settles in cash to UxC's spot assessment.

Uranium Digital's trade page describes one order book for cash and physical traders, reached through the website or through Financial Information eXchange (FIX) 4.4 over an encrypted session, with live depth on screen. Prime-broker routing into the order-management systems that desks already run is still in testing. Hedge funds, utilities, producers, family offices, allocators and prime brokers are the firms named, after know-your-customer and know-your-business checks. A firm with no converter account cash-settles, while a firm that holds one can cash-settle or take delivery of the U₃O₈.

What a holder can actually take

The homepage says Anchorage Digital Bank, N.A., a federally chartered national trust bank regulated by the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC), custodies the receipts. The August 2026 receipt terms put the U₃O₈ with a storage custodian, currently Converdyn, in a converter account of Uranium Digital Holding LLC, a Delaware limited liability company built as bankruptcy-remote and an affiliate of Takara Ventures Ltd., a Bahamas international business company. Chainlink's proof-of-reserve system has to participate before new receipts are minted, and the terms name Network Firm as Chainlink's preferred auditor as of that update. The public FAQ says audited reserves are reported monthly, so a buyer is reading a monthly audit and a live oracle in the same company's words. Coinbase's B20 stocks already trade on a Chainlink feed whose clock differs from the session underneath.

Redeeming the yellowcake requires at least 20,000 receipts, a verified converter account, and a window on the 15th or the last US banking day of the month, the same twice-monthly window used for issuance. Minimum issuance on the homepage is 20,000 pounds, against the 50,000 to 100,000 pound lots it calls typical over the counter. Cameco and Orano Cycle sit beside Converdyn as storage partners, and neither the company announcement nor the Blockchain Capital post includes a statement from either firm. Holders bear the economic result of the U₃O₈, the terms say, and Uranium Digital may freeze a receipt if it decides a holder has broken those terms or the law that applies. The same terms warn that the receipt price can vary widely from the uranium price, with eligibility to redeem decided by the storage partner rather than by the purchase of the record. The footer says the public site is unavailable to people located in, or resident in, the United States or India, and that Uranium Digital lacks registration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).

Yuan Han Li's post cites the International Energy Agency (IEA) Global Energy Review 2026 for 78 gigawatts of nuclear capacity under construction, about half of it in China. The company pages and the Series A posts give no daily volume, no open-interest figure, and no utility naming the venue as a place it procures. Aviva's tokenised share class and custody builds that keep the audit apart from the store are the nearer pattern for a desk that already buys a record of a pool. The $16.5 million lengthens the build of that screen. The constraint stays where the terms already put it, one pound of title on each receipt, 20,000 pounds before the metal can move, and a traded price the issuer says can part from the uranium underneath.
