BTIG Appoints Luke Hodges as COO

BTIG Limited, a New York based financial services provider specialising in institutional trading, investment banking and brokerage services revealed the appointment of new senior level executive to its team. As per statement released by the firm, it has onboarded Mr. Luke Hodges to serve in the role of its Chief Operations Officer effective immediately. Alongside the role of Chief of Operations, Luke also takes on the role of Head of Equities and becomes a member of the firm’s executive committee. Luke will work from the firm’s London office and focus on bolstering the firm’s growth efforts across all of the firm’s business units. Luke is also responsible for defining the firm’s operation strategy, recruitment of talented executives and making technology investments aimed at strengthening and improving the firm’s trading platform and multi-asset class product suite.

The incoming executive is a seasoned veteran with 17 years of experience in banking sector. Before taking up his current role at BTIG, Luke served as Managing Director at US based multinational banking service provider for more than 17 years. Luke spent the entirety of his career serving in Goldman Sachs having joined the firm in December of 2002 as member of Sales trading division. He then spent his tenure at the firm serving in numerous roles and climbing his way up the firm’s internal corporate hierarchy. He was primarily in charge of various business units focusing on EMEA region having served as part of Portfolio Trading, ETF Trading, Listed Derivatives and Electronic trading units in charge of their execution process.

It should be noted that the firm recently hired Mr. Brian Ager – a seasoned veteran in FX space to focus on its FX business development unit in US region as it gears up its efforts to strengthen its global footprint.
