GMO-Z.COM Trade UK Ltd, the subsidiary of Japanese retail broker GMO Click Securities based out of London recently revealed in an announcement stating that it has made a new addition to its leadership team. As per the update released by the firm, it has hired Mr. Wei Xu former Stater Global executive to serve as its Head of Operations. The incoming executive is a seasoned technology and financial services professional with over a decade of experience in IT systems with a focus on FX market technology. Prior to taking up his new role at UK based online trading service provider, Mr. Xu served at another UK based financial service provider Stater Global Markets – an industry leading prime of prime brokerage service provider for three years.
Xu joined the firm as an operations manager and held on to the role for two and a half years post which he was promoted to role of Head of Operations which he held until resigning from the firm in June of 2019. While the firm revealed this appointment via official press release and update in official LinkedIn page just earlier this week, Mr. Xu had been serving at the firm since August 2019 as per the information in his LinkedIn profile. Xu started his career as a Network Analyst at Air Products in August of 2007 while still pursuing his bachelor’s degree in media technology and internet computing. Post completing his bachelor’s degree, he took on the role of IT Analyst at Globis4Solutions in August of 2009 and served at the firm for eight months. He then served as Software Specialist at Root6 fir two years and served as technical support engineer and head of support at Gold-I Ltd.
Prior to his term at Stater Global Markets, he served as Technical Account Manager at Integral Development Corp. Speaking about his new role at the firm, Wei Xu said, “I am delighted to be joining an already strong team.
