Former Tullett Prebon CEO Joins Tradition’s Senior Management Team

Tradition - senior management teamAs per recent statement released by Tradition – one of the largest interdealer brokers, it has on-boarded Mr. Angus Wink as part of its senior management team. The statement which hit headlines earlier this week mentioned that the former Tullett Prebon Chief Executive Officer for EMEA (Europe, Middle East & Africa) region to serve in an unspecified role in senior management capacity at the firm. Mr. Wink is a veteran in interdealer broker services with more than 15 years of experience under his belt. As per information in his LinkedIn profile, he spent a major part of his career serving in various roles at Tullett Prebon another UK based financial service provider and a wholly owned subsidiary of TP-ICAP another leading player in global interdealer broker sector.

Angus joined the firm back in September of 2004 as its Managing Director for Rates division. He held the role for nearly four and a half years post which he was promoted to role of Chief Executive Officer for EMEA region. He held this role until he parted ways with the firm in October of 2016 having served in capacity of CEO for eight years. Angus also became a part of the firm’s executive board sometime in 2009 and held the role until he quit to pursue his own ventures. Post parting ways with Prebon, Angus started his own consulting firm in which he is currently serving in capacity of director and has held the role for more than three years now. There are reports online which speculate the possibility of Mr. Wink having served in advisory capacity via his consulting firm to Tradition which may have led to his new role but lacks proof to back such claims.

In his new role as part of senior management team, Angus will be based out of Tradition’s office located in London and is expected to begin his tenure with the firm sometime in early 2020. Wink will be reporting directly to Tradition’s co-heads at London office – Mr. Mike Anderson and Dan Marcus. Speaking about Wink’s addition to senior management team, Anderson said, “We look forward to Angus lending Tradition his expertise in the broking industry” which can also be interpreted in a way this he may not have held any previous ties with Tradition as part of his consulting firm. Tradition is an over the counter wholesale market broker which specializes in wide range of financial products and services. Tradition is the trading name of Six Swiss exchange listed firm Compagnie Financiere Tradition (CFT) which is also the parent firm of Japan based retail broker Gaitame.
