Stater Global MarketsStater Global Markets, an FCA regulated Prime of Prime brokerage, has appointed FX industry veteran Ashraf Agha as a Strategic Advisor to the company.

Bringing almost 30 years’ experience in the financial sector to Stater Global, Agha may prove valuable to the firm’s operations, compliance, and Prime of Prime.

Ashraf Agha has held a number of executive roles, including Head of Treasury at Saxo Bank, Chief Operating Officer for the Foreign Exchange business at Marex Spectron and Co-Founder and Executive Director of CFH Clearing. He has also held a number of Board-level positions at market-leading organizations and is currently a Board member of RegTech firm muinmos.

The FCA regulated Prime of Prime brokerage offers institutional clients direct access to Tier 1 bank and non-bank liquidity, clearing and institutional grade technology. The company has made a number of hirings in the recent past.

In July 2018, the group appointed Simon Henry as Head of Compliance with a primary role of ensuring that the company is fully compliant with the rules and regulations of the UK financial regulator, FCA. Henry joined Stater from Capital Index and worked previously at London Capital Group, LMAX Exchange, ETX Capital, Gain Capital, IG, and Morgan Stanley.

In September 2018, Stater Global Markets launched its dedicated sales team and appointed Max Moriarty as the first member.
In October, the Prime of Prime brokerage tapped Michael Davies, Sucden Financial’s Head of eFX Sales EMEA as its new Global Head of Sales, and Ayhan Gurcuoglu, also from Sucden, as Regional Sales Manager based in Turkey
