Puleston Jones to Depart FIA

Futures Industry Association FIA Puleston JonesFIA’s President and CEO Walt Lukken today announced his acceptance of the resignation of Simon Puleston Jones, who is leaving the organization for other business pursuits.  Mr. Puleston Jones has been the organization’s Head of Europe since 2016, when he helped oversee the merger between FIA’s global affiliates into a single organization.  Mr. Puleston Jones also chairs the Joint Trade Association Group, a forum of over 20 financial services trade associations that advocate on issues such as Brexit and MiFID II.

“We thank Simon for his contribution to the industry and to the success of FIA.  From his work on FIA’s merger to his leadership on Brexit, Simon has been an effective leader and advocate for our industry.  We wish him much success in the future,” said Lukken. 

Emma Davey, FIA’s Senior Vice President for Global Communications, will take over as interim-Head of Europe while the search for a permanent replacement commences. She will work closely with senior European advocacy staff during this critical time of transition in Europe, including Corinna Schempp, Vice President of European Policy and Regulation, who runs the recently opened Brussels office, and Mitja Siraj, Vice President of Legal for Europe, who will assume a principal role on FIA’s Brexit advocacy.
