Orochi Network's $8 million post still splits the total

Orochi Network's funding post adds $8 million for a $20 million total, while the same page still shows $12 million and dates the round across two years.

Orochi Network's $8 million post still splits the total

Orochi Network's funding post is easier to misfile than to summarise. The headline on the company blog says the firm secured an additional $8 million, bringing total funding to $20 million for verifiable-data infrastructure aimed at Real-World Asset (RWA) tokenisation. The visible byline reads October 24, 2026. The meta description and the italic opener both begin with October 2025. The blog record embedded in that page lists createdAt as October 17, 2025 and publishedAt as October 24, 2026, with updatedAt on the same October 24 stamp. The about text on the URL still says Orochi Network is backed by $12 million from the Ethereum Foundation and leading venture firms.

What the funding page states

The post says the investment was supported by MEXC Ventures, Plutus VC, Bolts Capital, Ant Labs, returning investors from previous rounds, and grants from the Ethereum Foundation. The additional $8 million is left unallocated across those names, and the lead cheque is left unnamed. The headline and the October 2025 opener use a $20 million total, while the about block still presents $12 million as the backing in force. Adding the about-line's $12 million to the additional $8 million produces the headline's $20 million.

Alongside the raise, the post says Orochi Network launched zkDatabase on mainnet, calls that verifiable database an RWA truth layer, and says it has processed 700+ million proofs since launch, with downloads at 10,000+. A zkDatabase Alliance on the page includes Plume, Lumia, tagged there as RWA, plus Nexus, OG, tagged there as AI, and 120+ enterprise partners. The about block runs a second scoreboard: more than 40 dApps and blockchains, 300K daily users, 1.5M monthly users, 160M+ transactions, a community of 500K+ members, and zkDatabase adopted by 120+ blockchains.

What a custodian can book

Regulation is the demand story the post chooses. It says the European Union's 2025 Digital Operational Resilience Act (DORA) mandates data integrity and immutable audits, so verifiable data has become a requirement. ESMA's DORA page dates Regulation (EU) 2022/2554 to entry into force on January 16, 2023 and application on January 17, 2025, as an information and communication technology (ICT) security regime. ESMA's table points risk management to Articles 5 to 16 and 26 to 30, and incident reporting to Articles 17 to 23. The European Banking Authority's register page says DORA became applicable on January 17, 2025 and that financial entities in scope need a comprehensive register of contractual arrangements with ICT third-party service providers.

Chiro Hiro, founder of Orochi Network, said, "Policy and technology must move together," and, "Our support on the RWA sandbox ensures enterprises and governments can innovate with confidence, on infrastructure that's provable by design." The image caption on the same post calls Chiro Hiro CTO of Orochi Network and places those remarks on the Super Vietnam 2025 main stage. The post also names VietinBank, MB, Vietcombank, the Vice Chairman of the Da Nang People's Council, and a policy dialogue with Figment, HashKey Capital, GSR, Hedera, BitGo, Binance and OKX.

BlackRock's tokenised money-market share classes are the institutional reference Orochi Network's post invokes when it names BlackRock, and the post leaves that exposure unquantified. Jack Henry's plan for tokenised deposits on Google Cloud names a rail and a partner. Fission's round to buy tokenised fund exits is one transaction with one total. Orochi Network's URL carries an additional $8 million, a $20 million headline and a $12 million about-line on one screen.

The research record is easier to date than the round. The company site links RAMenPaSTA, IACR paper 2024/336, received on February 26, 2024 and last revised on May 14, 2025, with Nhat Minh Pham listed at Orochi Network and Chan Nam Ngo at Privacy + Scaling Exploration. The abstract describes a zero-knowledge argument for RAM programs. The funding URL carries a createdAt of October 17, 2025, an October 2025 dateline, and a publishedAt of October 24, 2026.

The post's forward list is scaling zkDatabase and the zkDA Layer, which the navigation marks as coming soon, plus closer work with Vietnam's policy officials and RWA sandboxes. A treasury that books one close date and one total will keep the additional $8 million as a company statement until Orochi Network prints a single year, a single total and a named split.
