Genesis Global Technology, a UK based global capital markets software firm has revealed the appointment of new senior level executive to its management team. As per statement released by the firm, it has onboarded industry veteran Nicholas Kolba as its new Global Head of Platform. In his new role at the FinTech firm, Mr. Kolba will be responsible for design and delivery of its technology strategy and acceleration of client adoption of genesis low code application platform. The firm has received an increasing demand and appreciation for low code development making this platform one of its flagship products. Mr. Kolba will be located in the firm’s New York office and report directly to Mr. Stephen Murphy – Chief Executive Officer of Genesis Global Technology. This appointment comes at key time frame for the firm as it has closed its second funding round just recently and is working to boost its client base and global footprint.
Another major factor to note about this appointment is the move by firm to join FINOS as a means for advancing its collaboration in financial services sector by fostering adoption of open source and open standards collaborative software development practices. This move is significant in this appointment as Mr. Kolba is one of the Co-Founders and former Chairman of FINOS and FINOS FDC3 program. The incoming global head of platform is an executive more than 23 years of experience in technology sector a majority of which he had spent serving various industry leading financial technology service providers. He has held key leadership and management roles at firms such as OpenFin and Thomson Reuters. During his term with OpenFin he served as CTO, CPO & Director of Ecosystem while in Thomson Reuters he served as Director of Open Eikon development and Senior Technical Specialist. Some of this other notable roles include – Marketing Manager and Web Master at Nokia/Lucent Technologies, Senior Software Engineer at SitePen Inc and VP of Product at AdFin.
