Martin Halblaub to Head Koine Advisory Board

Karthik Subramanian has been a professional trader and fund manager over the last 18 years. He is basically a software developer who made the transition to financial domain around 18 years back as the attractiveness of the financial markets proved too much for him. He lives in Chennai in India along with his wife and son. He began his career as a software developer in 1999 and then gradually moved into the financial industry as he began trading stocks in his pastime. He then moved into the financial markets full time and then shifted his focus to the FX markets due to the liquid nature of these markets. Since then, he has been trading FX diligently and his favourite pair are the EURUSD and EURJPY. Over the last couple of years, he has found blockchain to be of high interest and considering his background in software and finance, he has since assembled a team of highly talented developers who have since worked on a variety of projects like crypto exchanges and blockchain architecturing. Now, he balances his time between trading and commenting on both the FX and crypto markets. He has worked with many publications including FX Street and Finance Magnates, which has helped him gain experience and also recognition across the industry. He loves to write and this passion has helped him to reach out across the FX and crypto industry. Right now, he works on his pet projects in the FX and crypto industry and spends his time writing and managing his blockchain team and helping it to reach higher.

Martin Halblaub to Head Koine’s Advisory Board

Koine Money Ltd, London based provider of institutional grade custody and settlement services for digital assets recently revealed that it has made a new addition to its senior level management team. As per recent statement released by the firm, it has hired Mr. Martin Halblaub to serve as Chairman of its advisory board and is set to begin starting 1st January 2020. The statement also revealed that this is the first in plan for series of hiring members for its global advisory board. The advisory board which is set to be formed is aimed to support the company as it continues on its growth trajectory and will leverage Mr. Halblaub’s vast experience to help guide the company. Mr. Halblaub is currently serving as Managing Partner at High Performance Boards a firm he established six and a half years ago. Prior to his term at High Performance Boards, he served at SIX digital Exchange four nearly four years.

He joined the firm as a senior advisor to its Chairman and was promoted to the role of Chief Executive Officer in 2018. During his term at SIX digital exchange, he helped shape the firm’s strategy, business model and also helped build a strong management team. However, he stepped down from his role as Chief Executive Officer over strategic differences which arose over his plans to launch SDX as an independent company which was declined by the board of SDX’s parent firm SIX group. Aside from Martin, the newly forming advisory board will be made up of executives from Societe Generale, EY, Bacs Payment Schemes, Bank of England and several other industry leading financial service providers. Some of his other major notable roles include – Board Member at Norddeutsche Landesbank, Senior Advisor at Deutsche Wertpapier Service Bank AG, President at Hannover Stock Exchange, Head of Global Markets at HSH Nordbank and Head of Risk Management at LBBW.
