Transfer Go, one of the fastest-growing money transfer companies in today’s world revealed the appointment of the new senior-level executive in its latest announcement. As per a statement from the firm, it has onboarded Mr. Edgardo Savoy to serve as its new Chief Technology Officer. In his new role as CTO of the firm, Mr. Savoy will be working from the firm’s London office and is responsible for ensuring that the firm’s operations comply with its technology roadmap with particular focus on customer experience and lead a team of 60 engineers. He is also expected to work towards expanding the firm’s customer offerings while ensuring that any clients even if they arrive from a new country have the same level of access to benefits as local clients.
The incoming executive is a veteran with more than 25 years of experience in product and technology verticals. Most recently, he served as Group Chief Information Officer at The Restaurant Group Plc prior to which he served as Director of Engineering at Racing Post.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head of Sportsbook & eGaming Technology and Head of Retail & Business Systems Technology at Paddy Power. He also held several key roles include CTO at Last Minute.com – Germany and has served in key managerial roles at Verizon Business and Ingematica – a Microsoft Partner. This appointment occurs at a key point of the time for the firm as it focuses on growth efforts. The firm currently boasts more than 2 million users and recently managed to raise a capital of 10 Million USD with a focus on efforts at global expansion and launch of new services in its cross border payments platform. The firm achieves its current level of success owing to its preference among migrants working in the UK who use this platform to send money home while eliminating hassles and fees which accompany traditional bureaucratic fund transfer organizations.
