Digital Vega, the UK based operator of forex options e-trading platform Medusa recently revealed in an announcement that it has hired three new executives to serve in senior management and leadership roles.
According to an update from the firm which was revealed through the post on their official LinkedIn page, the decision to hire new executives was made as part of the firm’s ongoing product development and global expansion strategy. The incoming executives and their respective roles at the firm are – Simon Nursey – Head of APAC, Asa Attwell – Head of Product Development and Laura Winkler – Relationship manager for EMEA region. However, this is not the first time the firm has brought in new executives to bolster its business operations as it had previously hired Simon Benny Lewis and Romain Camus to serve in roles of Head of Interdealer Solutions and Head of Exotic options back in February this year.
Simon Nursey who takes on the role of head of business operations for APAC region is currently serving as an Adjunct Lecturer for National University of Singapore and is also Co-founder of non-profit organisation CORA Network which aims to create a secure inter-dealer crypto OTC market network by bringing together top crypto OTC dealers into a single large, secure and more liquid market community.
Before founding Cora Network he served as Standard Chartered Bank’s Head of FXO Trading for Asian market region and as Global Head of Currency Options Trading in BNP Paribas. Asa who takes on the role of Head of Product Development had previously served as Head of EMEA EM & FX in Nomura and Head of G10 FX & G10 Options trading in BNP Paribas and as Quantitative Developer at Deutsche Bank.
Laura, the incoming relationship manager had previously served as a relationship manager at Luxoft Financial Services, Currenex and Thomson Reuters primarily handling clients from the European market region.
