American multinational banking and financial service provider JP Morgan Chase has made a new addition to its top-level leadership roles in its London Office. The move was made public via changes made to the newly hired executive’s LinkedIn profile according to which, the incoming executive Mr. Robert Wade takes on the roles of Global Head of Treasury Services FX and Managing Director and has started his term at the bank earlier this month.
However, this is not his first rodeo with the US-based investment banking service provider as he has served in several senior leadership and management roles at the firm for eleven years and is returning back to the firm’s post brief stints at several other industry-leading banking service providers. Prior to taking up his current role at JP Morgan Chase, Wade served at Goldman Sachs in their London office in the role of Managing Director and global head of corporate electronic FX.
Robert was also responsible for cash management sales at Goldman Sachs and served at the firm for nearly 2 years before resigning from the firm earlier this month. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he served as Managing Director and Global Head of Electronic FX Sales, Capital Markets and Treasury Solutions at Deutsche Bank for nearly seven and a half years.
During his tenure at Deutsche Bank, he lead several key business operations such as delivering complete suite of client solutions from proprietary single dealer execution to multi-bank liquidity, cross border treasury, payments and cash management, led the team handling platform development strategy and strategic e-commerce partnerships and also management global front office sales team for both corporate and institutional clients. His contributions to the firm during his term there helped the firm see heft profits with a 35% annualized growth rate during his 7-year term there.
Prior to Deutsche Bank, Robert served at CitiGroup for a brief period of 10 months in the role of executive director and head of strategic initiatives for institutional clients group. Before his short stint at CitiGroup, he spent more than a decade at JP Morgan Chase in their New York office serving in roles of Executive Director and Vice President. While in the New York office, he played a major role in the development of the firm’s global strategy development, product planning, and business management.
He also handled other operations such as technology consulting & program management and handles treasury and securities services having led a channel strategy across Treasury and Investment banking FX eCommerce platforms which helped the firm see steady revenue steam worth hundreds of millions while also seeing 50% YOY growth plan. He started his career as Product Development Manager in Frontier Communications while doing his MBA in Finance & Marketing from the University of Rochester – Simon Business School and also served as Senior Marketing Manager at AT&T before entering the financial services industry via JP Morgan back in December of 1998.
