Ayman Sayed Joins First Derivatives as Non-Executive Director

First Derivatives Plc, a leading global player in capital markets technology market revealed the appointment of new member to its board of directors in its latest update. According to statement released by the firm, it has onboarded Mr. Ayman Sayed to serve as Non-Executive Director of the group. The move was first made public via the firm’s update filed to London Stock Exchange according to which this move is a part of the firm’s efforts geared towards boosting strength and support for enhancing its product engineering capabilities, delivering solutions and growing its software revenue. Mr. Sayed is an expert in enterprise grade software and technology verticals with more than 25 years of experience. Aside from his current role at First Derivatives board, he is also served as President and Chief Executive Officer of BMC Software, a California based software giant.

Prior to that, he served as President and Chief Product Officer of CA Technologies Inc, a fortune 500 company which has since been acquired Broadcom Inc. He served at CA Tech for three and a half years during which he was responsible for the firm’s vision, strategy, development and success of its products and services. Ayman spent most of his career serving under Cisco Systems having remained a part of the firm for more than 16 years. During his term with the technology giant, he served in numerous key roles such as Sr.Director of Engineering – Core Routing Business Unit, VP of Engineering – NSSTG & Unified Access Business unit and SVP of network operating systems technology group. He began his career as Director of Software Development at Plaintree Systems in 1994 after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University.

Karthik Subramanian has been a professional trader and fund manager over the last 18 years. He is basically a software developer who made the transition to financial domain around 18 years back as the attractiveness of the financial markets proved too much for him. Now, he balances his time between trading and commenting on both the FX and crypto markets. He has worked with many publications including FX Street and Finance Magnates, which has helped him gain experience and also recognition across the industry.
