London Stock Exchanges Sees Changes to Executive Committee

London Stock Exchange - executiveLondon Stock Exchange Group revealed in an announcement recently that its current COO is set to part ways with the firm in near future and so the firm is promoting its current executive to fill the power vacuum. As per statement from the firm, Mr. Chris Corrado, who is currently serving as Chief Operations Officer and Chief Information Officer for the group has revealed his intention to part ways with the firm in order to pursue other professional opportunities and that he will leave the firm at end of the first quarter of 2020. In order to fill the power vacuum created when he vacates his current roles, the group has decided to promote two of its executives to succeed him at start of 2020 in order to ensure smooth transition of power and responsibilities inside the firm.

In place of his role as Chief Information Officer for LSEG, the group is promoting Mr. Anthony McCarthy,, who is currently serving in a role of same capacity in one of LSEG’s subsidiaries – LCH Clearnet for nearly two and a half years now. LCH Clearnet is well known for providing clearance service for wide range of OTC markets and for LSEG. Anthony’s new role as Chief Information Officer comes into effect from 01.01.2020. Prior to LCH, Anthony served as part of Germany based multinational banking service provider Deutsche Bank where he served for nearly two decades. Some of the most notable roles he served while a part of the German banking giant include – Managing Director in IT & Group CIO at corporate & investment banking division. Before his term with Deutsche bank, he served for nearly 12 year years at Morgan Stanley during which he played a successful role as head of Far East IT for a brief period.

At the same time, his role of Chief Operations Officer will be succeeded by Mr. David Shalders who has been a part of the firm for less than two months now. David began his term with London Stock Exchange Group back in November of 2019 and has been serving in capacity of Chief Integration Officer. Similar to Anthony, David will also be starting his new role from 01.01.2020.
