ATFX, the leading global online forex broker has announced today the appointment of sales veteran Marcos Tigsilema as the new Commercial Director for the firm’s UK operations.
Mr. Tigsilema has strong experience and knowledge of the forex market operations and has held senior level positions at many leading forex brokerage houses. He will be utilising his experience at ATFX UK to increase the company’s client base through new acquisition.
Most recently, Tigsilema was serving as Head of Sales and Marketing at GKFX; an FCA regulated forex trading broker. Though his stint with GKFX was short, he helped the company to develop and execute a universal sales strategy for the firm’s operations apart from his other duties.
In his career, he has served as Head of Sales for the EMEA for Black Pearl Securities Ltd, Head of Sales & Marketing EMEA and LATAM for BP Prime, Senior Sales Manager for EMEA and Global Derivatives at OANDA Europe and as a Senior Broker in Private Client & Corporate Sales at Alpari UK Ltd.

BNP Paribas Names New Head of Germany and Austria
BNP Paribas Securities has added Thorsten Gommel as the new head of company’s Germany and Austria operations. Mr. Gommel will start his new role from April of next year and will be based in the company’s Frankfurt office.
Gommel joins BNP Paribas from world’s second largest auditing major PWC, where he spent almost 12 years of this career. His latest position with the firm was Asset & Wealth Management Leader, for which Gommel was the sector leader at PwC Germany. Prior to this, he was the Asset & Wealth Management Advisory Leader for the EMEA region.
Gommel was also associated with some of the leading MNCs including a Senior Consultant at IBM, Senior Manager at KPMG, Partner at Market Infrastructures Lead and more.
Gommel holds a degree in Diploma of European Business Programme (1999) from the KEDGE Business School and Diploma of Business Administration in the field of European Business Program from the University of Applied Sciences Münster.
