Stellar Foundation Adds Mozilla COO, Denelle Dixon as its New Executive Director and CEO

stellarStellar Foundation, the creator of XLM cryptocurrency has secured Mozilla’s Chief Operating Officer Denelle Dixon as its Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer. 

Denelle succeeds the role from Stellar’s co-founder Jed McCaleb as he moves into a new role in which he has to focus more on network protocol and adoption strategy. Denelle will take over the new hob from McCaleb in May.

Denelle Dixon has been associated with web browser firm since 2012, and in her tenure, she has overseen many of the company’s effort in diversifying Mozilla’s revenue stream, including Pocket acquisition in February 2017. She has worked in different roles as head of business and legal work and most recently as its chief operating officer.

Commenting on the appointment, Jed McCaleb said:

“We’re thrilled to have Denelle lead the Stellar Development Foundation through its next phase of growth. Denelle’s long experience leading operations and business at Mozilla, as well as her work on the policy side, with advocacy around Open Internet and encryption and privacy, will be indispensable to SDF in the coming years.”

Denelle Dixon also added:

Broadridge Financial Solutions Adds Manuel Baptista as MD and Head of Sales

Broadridge Financial Solutions has appointed Manuel Baptista as its new Managing Director, Head of Investor Communication Solutions International (ICSI) Sales.

In his new role at Broadridge, Baptista will lead the company’s sales team and will support the growth of Broadridge’s ICSI portfolio of services. He will be collaborating with custodians, issuers, institutional investors and intermediaries to steer through different market and regulatory challenges. He will work from Broadridge’s Belgian office and will directly report to Bob Santangelo, the President of International Sales.

Baptista comes with over two decades of experience in the financial services sector and joins Broadridge from ISS’s Global Proxy Distribution where he was head and in charge of the division’s overall strategy. He has also worked in multiple positions including Communications, Operations and the management of Sub-custodian networks at Bank of New York and Euroclear.

Deutsche Bank Taps Digital Expert Samar Sen from BNP Paribas Executive  

Deutsche Bank AG has secured Samar Sen, a digital expert as its Global Head of Digital Products and Securities Services.

Samar in his new role will guide Deutsche Bank’s digital strategy for its securities services businesses. He will deploy artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technology as a part of his digital strategy. 

As per the update in his LinkedIn profile, Samar commenced his role at the German Bank in February and joined from BNP Paribas SA, where he was a Director, Business Development, where he joined the firm in April 2016 as Head of Product, AI Virtual Advisor.
