Angelos Christofi Promoted to Chief of Sales at BDSwiss

August 9, 2019

AngelosCyprus based FX, and CFD trading service provider BDSwiss recently made an announcement stating that it had promoted one of its executives to the role of Chief of Sales. According to the update, Christofi had been serving at the firm for the last ten months having joined the firm as Global Head of Conversion back in November 2018.

The broker has its offices spread across US and major European markets with most of its holdings currently based out of Zug, Switzerland to ensure a smooth business operation and seamless client services to clients from across the global market. The firm is registered as a financial service provider and licensed by three regulatory bodies – US National Futures Association, CySEC, and Financial Service Commission in Mauritius. Christofi’s promotion was first made public in his LinkedIn profile, according to which he seems to have taken up the new role since the start of August 2019.

In his new role as Chief of Sales, Christofi is expected to handle conversion and retention teams. Before joining BDSwiss, Angelos served as head of sales for AAA Trade – another Cyprus based investment firm and liquidity service provider mostly focusing on the European market. However, Angelos’ tenure at AAA trade was a relatively short period of just three months. Angelos is an industry veteran with more than 12 years of experience in sales roles, of which ten years was spent serving in the financial services industry.

He started his career as a divisional sales manager at Medwestern Lifestyle Events where he served for a period of 2 years and 2 months. He started his career in financial service industry back in April 2011 at FX Global Markets Ltd where he served in various roles such as team leader, sales and retention executive over his 2 year-long tenure.

He then joined Iron FX and served as Account Manager for six months post which he served Xtrade Group for nearly 3 years and 10 months as its Head of Retention, helping the firm’s clients with their trade payments, risk management and accessing liquidity. The firm also revealed that aside from Angelos Christofi, another executive was also promoted to a key role. Chris Papageorgiou, who has been serving at the firm for the last 3 years and 6 months, is another industry veteran with nearly 18 years of experience. He started out at the firm as Head of Sales back in March 2016 and has been promoted twice. First to the role of Director of Operations back in October 2017 and most recently he received a promotion to Chief Business Development Officer back in July 2019.

Speaking about these two promotions, the company stated that the decisions were made to help with the firm’s plans for growth and expansion into new market regions.
