Australia based forex broker ACY Securities recently made an announcement stating that it has hired a new chief market analyst. According to the announcement, the newly hired market analyst is an industry veteran with over 16 years of experience in financial service industry. Russell Sandiford, the newly hired executive started his tenure at the firm last month as per details revealed by the broker. Sandiford has experience in handling wide range of asset across the global market namely indices, commodities and forex pairs. In his new role as Chief market analyst, he will be responsible for distributing premium market analysis and commentary given company’s efforts to ensure that their clients get high quality analytical data. According to his LinkedIn profile, he is an experienced proprietary trader with a special focus in forex, commodities and US equities having worked extensively from Sydney and London based financial service providers.
Prior to joining ACY Securities, he served as a proprietary trader for a private based out of Sydney for nearly 5 years. Before that, he served as a dealer and market analyst for easy markets dealing with clients from Singapore and Australia specializing in FX, stocks, commodities and F&O derivative assets. Prior to that, he served as sales trader at Axi Trade from both their London and Sydney offices where he helped build IB partners client book & retail volume, conducted live trading educational webinars and drove retail trading volume by assisting clients with lacing market orders and trade positions. He also served in same capacity for Australia based trading service provider City Index Australia Pvt Ltd. He started his career at Rusco Financial P/L where he served for nearly eight years as a swing trader dealing in stock market. The statement from the firm states that Sandiford is ideal candidate for his role as he takes a mixed fundamental and technical approach in his analysis which is highly beneficial for their clients most of whom are intra-day traders.
When speaking about new appointment at the firm, Jimmy Ye, Co-director of the firm commented, “As part of our commitment to provide traders with premium analysis, Russell will be leading the output of sharp market commentary through the provision of daily morning/afternoon briefs, live webinars around key data releases, as well as weekly markets wraps and reports”.
