FX industry veteran Nick Cooke who has over a decade of experience working with FX, equity and CFD assets across major financial service providers in UK has now founded his own brokerage – Zenfinex Ltd. As per report published in Financemagnates website, Cook laid foundation for the brokerage firm back in November 2017. However, the firm managed to get a licence for financial and trading service offering just earlier this year. UK’s regulatory authority FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) granted the firm a license to operate in UK market on March 11, 2019 (License number – 816055) which mandates that the firm is required to provide protection for client’s funds under financial services compensation scheme(FSCS).
As per the information filed by brokerage firm with FCA, Nick Cooke is the person of contact for the firm. The information regarding the firm can be located in FCA’s registry containing details of registered financial service providers operating in UK using license number as reference id. When speaking about the launch of his brokerage firm, Cooke commented, “We are excited to be launching the new business under one of the most respected regulators in the industry, the FCA. Despite the industry becoming more challenging with ESMA changes, we are confident we can deliver a transparent and innovative STP offering to suit both retail and institutional traders”. Nick Cooke is managing director and co-founder of the firm as per information found in his LinkedIn profile.
However, the information in his profile suggests that this is not his first venture at starting up a financial service providing company. Post his tenure at FXCM and London Capital Group in the early half of his career, Nick founded Global Market Group in 2015 which is yet another FCA regulated brokerage offering FX and CFD trading services. Nick served as Managing Director of the firm since its debut but resigned from role as MD after nearly 3½ years in October 2018 to focus on other projects. Aside from Zenfinex, Nick also founded NC12 properties – a firm that invests on property development in and around London. He is currently serving the role of managing director for both NC 12 and Zenfinex Ltd as per the data in his LinkedIn profile.
