Yutaka Imanishi Joins LCH Clearing as Head of Japan

LCH Clearing - Yutaka ImanishiLCH Clearing, the UK based clearing house which caters to major multinational exchanges and OTC markets revealed the appointment of new senior level leadership executive. As per statement released by the firm, it has onboarded Mr. Yutaka Imanishi to serve as the head of its Japanese division with immediate effect. The incoming executive is a veteran with three decades of experience in financial service sector majority of which he served under industry leading banking service providers in APAC region. In his new role as head of LCH’s Japanese business division, he will be in-charge of the firm’s overall business operations in the region including CCP’s office in Tokyo and report to Kate Birchall – Head of LCH’s APAC market region. The firm has license to provider clearing services for non-Yen IRS and FX NDF’s to financial service providers based in Japan.

Before taking up his current role at LCH, he served in multiple roles for TriOptima for more than 13 years. TriOptima is a firm which specializes in critical post trading infrastructure and risk management services for OTC derivatives market. He joined the firm as Senior Account Executive and was promoted twice to the roles of Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer for APAC region. Prior to that, he served as Head of Japan Relations at Nomura Singapore Ltd for nearly two years. However it should be noted that he began his career as a member of Sales and Investment Department at Nomura’s Australian office and served in roles of Sale Sales Executive for Fixed Income and Head of Capital Markets at Nomura Singapore Ltd in the early phase of his career. Some of his other notable roles include Senior Account Executive at TriOptima AP, Head of Japan Desk and Senior Sales Executive for Fixed Income at Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
