Yahoo Japan could be next big cryptocurrency exchange in the country by in a year’s time, which will lead to a major realignment in the crypto exchange industry. For the launch, it will acquire 40 percent stake in BitARG, a cryptocurrency exchange that is registered in Japan under the Financial Services Agency (FSA) for a consideration of YJFX $19 million (2 billion yen).
Yahoo Japan is planning to make the platform live by early next year around April 2019 and will spend the rest of the year in developing a new exchange system from scratch. Both the teams will work on internal controls, a corporate governance structure, and a customer management system.
