XTX Markets, UK based market maker and forex trading service provider recently revealed in an announcement that it has added a new executive to its global distribution team.
As per the statement issued by the firm, it has hired Mr. Andrew Webber a veteran in FX Quant Analytics and Trading with more than a decade of experience under his belt. Mr. Webber’s appointment to his new role is effective immediately and he will be serving from the trading service provider’s London office.
During his twelve-year long career in the industry, Mr. Webber has served under several industry-leading firms making him a well-known figure in capital market space. Prior to taking up his new role with the global distribution team, the incoming executive served at France headquartered multinational banking service provider BNP Paribas for more than two years.
While at BNP Paribas, Andrew served in the capacity of head of eFX Client Analytics having joined the firm back in October of 2017. Before his stint at BNP Paribas, Mr. Andrew served as a Senior Quantitative Trader at Sun Trading LLC where he stayed for nearly one and a half years. Andrew spent the bulk of his career serving as a part of Germany headquartered multinational banking service provider Deutsche bank having spent nearly 7 years with the bank.
He joined the bank back in 2009 as an Analyst for interest rate trading division and was promoted to the role of Vice President of FX quant trading in October of 2011 which he held until he parted ways with the firm in April 2016. The firm chose to hire Mr. Webber as it believes his expertise in quantitative trading makes him an ideal fit to help the firm increase its client base.
Over the course of the last four years, the firm has seen sharp and swift growth climbing the rank among the nation’s most popular electronic market maker and having reached 12th spot based on FX turnover climbing above several industry-leading financial service providers such as J.P. Morgan Chase in the process.
The firm currently handles more than US$150 Billion in trades every day and mainly uses mathematical models developed using huge data sets to connect buyers and sellers.
