TradeStationTokyo-based Monex Group Hires Takahiro Tanaka as Executive Director

Tokyo-based Monex Group, a financial services company under which it operates retail brokerages TradeStation, Monex, Boom Hong Kong, and a cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck has announced the appointment of Takahiro Tanaka as an Executive Director.

The news released by the company on its website states that Takahiro Tanaka position will be effective from December 1, 2018. As per the release, this will be Takahiro’s first position with the Japanese giant and company refrained from revealing more details like about his job role and position in the firm.

The company recently underwent an organisational and personnel reshuffle, in which three new executives joining the firm and one moved to a new position. The new additions are Yasuhiko Kurata, General Manager of the Internal Audit Office. Haruhiko Ito appointed as General Manager for the Customer Service Planning Office, and Takeko Miyasawa appointed as General Manager of the Hachinohe Operation Center.

The past few months have particularly busy for the Monex Group and its subsidiary. The group has acquired crippled cryptocurrency exchange Coincheck and was able to restart limited business operations after the $500 million hacks. For the first-half financial results of its fiscal year ending March 31, 2019, the company has reported strong performance with total revenue increasing 6.3 per cent year-on-year to ¥26.8 billion ($239.3 million) and profits coming at ¥1.7 billion.

Sucden Hires Ex-UBS Executive Kirsty Gillies as Global Head of eFX Sales

Sucden Financial has announced the appointment of Kirsty Gillies as Global Head of eFX Sales, replacing Michael Davies, who recently stepped down to join Stater Global Markets.

Kirsty Gillies is a long time UBS executive and is joining Sucden Financial after working for almost 8 years at UBS, where she was in the position of Executive Director and responsible for running eFX sales team in London. She has extensive knowledge and experience of the Fx brokerage industry and started her career with Barclays Capital.

At Sucden, she will be reporting to  Co-Heads of eFX Peter Brooks and Wayne Roworth in London and will be responsible for implementing sales strategy to attract new businesses and solidify position in the global market.
