Saxo Bank’s Japanese arm, Saxo Bank Securities, an FSA regulated entity has secured Erika Nakazato as its new Head of Marketing. The subsidiary provides trading and investment services to both retail and institutional clients.
The appointment of Erika Nakazato is effective immediately as the announcement made public through her LinkedIn profile. Nakazato has been similar profile roles and has valuable experience in the forex marketing space.
Her earlier role was with Dukascopy Japan KK, where she was leading the company in the role of Head of Marketing and has spent a little over three years with the firm. Prior to this, she was Head of Marketing at Alpari Japan KK for over a year and was managing all the marketing channels for the company. She has also held senior-level roles at FOREX.com Japan as Marketing Manager and Manager Customer Support at DMM.com Securities Co. Ltd. She began her career in the financial industry as a broker on the spot yen desk of Kobayashi & Co, a Japanese bank in 1998.
Recently, Saxo Bank has received approval from multiple regulatory authorities around the globe regarding its ownership change in which China’s Geely Group and Sampo plc of Finland acquired the major stake in the company. Founder and CEO Kim Fournais retained his 25.71 per cent share in the company. Post this deal, Saxo Bank will increase its focus on Asian subcontinent specifically the untapped Chinese market.
IC Markets Hires Theodora Loukaidi as its new Finance Manager
Another important hire was made by an Australian-based brokerage company, IC Markets. The firm announced the appointment of Theodora Loukaidi as its Finance Manager and her new role is based on Limassol, Cyprus. The announcement was made public through her LinkedIn profile.
Ms Theodora posses a strong experience of the forex brokerage space and joins the firm from iFOREX, a retail forex and CFD trading brokerage. At iFOREX, Ms Theodora has spent four years as a Chief Financial Officer and before that as a Head of Finance and Administration at Leverate for close to three years.
Her experience in the senior level management roles in both her previous assignments will provide valuable directions for IC Markets to strengthen its position. She has also impressive academic background with a master’s degree in Business Management and Administration from Murray State University and a bachelor in business administration degree from Frederick University.
