Steve McGregor Joins Allica Bank as Head of Application Engineering

Allica BankAllica Bank - Steve McGregor, the UK based SME banking service provider revealed the appointment of Mr. Steve McGRegor to role of Head of Application Engineering in its latest public announcement. As per statement released by the firm, it has on-boarded Mr. Steve McGregor as part of its constant efforts aimed at improving its business while empowering Small and Medium Sized Enterprises to achieve success. Since its founding back in 2017, the firm has provided tailor-made customer SME Banking, Business Banking, Savings & Business Loans to various SME firms based out of UK. As the newly appointed Head of Application Engineering, Steve will be in-charge of the bank’s efforts at building its first in-house fully immersed software engineering team at Allica Bank. This newly formed team will act as the bank’s vanguard in development of its digital financial services and tools that meet the requirements specified by each of its clients. The incoming executive is a veteran in financial services industry with 27 years of experience in UK financial services market.

He spent majority of it under banking services providers but has also served as part of payment service provider during brief part of his career. Before taking up his current role at Allica Bank, he served as a member of Isban UK – a wholly-owned subsidiary of Santander Group that handles technology and operations units of Santander. He spent nearly fifteen years serving as part of Isban UK and served in various roles such as Project Manager, IT Delivery Manager – Mobile Banking and IT Mobile Lead – Channels & Solutioning.  He also served as Head of Product Engineering at Santander Technology UK and was in charge of design, development, integration and deployment of Spendlytics – a spend management tool which was launched with Apple Pay and its mobile banking platform (both retail and business). Earlier in his career, he did a short stint under payment solutions provider vocalink and served at Abbey National Plc – UK’s 6th largest bank where he served as a project manager and various other development roles.
