Shay Benhamou Joins Financial Commission’s DRC

As per the recent announcement made by the Financial Commission DRC, an independent self-regulatory organization and external dispute resolution body, it has added yet another member to its Dispute Resolution Committee. The newly joined member of FinaCom’s dispute resolution body is Shay Benhamou who is more familiar to market participants as Chief Executive Officer of multi-asset trading technology service provider Airsoft.

The addition to dispute resolution committee is made at a time when the firm is working towards expanding its self-regulatory association on a global level. However, he is not the only addition as quite a few members have been added to the existing roster as part of expansion plans. Earlier this year, former CEO and Chairman of HFT broker, Oskar Pecyna joined the committee in late June and details of same was published in our article.

Shay joins financial commission while also agreeing to make his firm Airsoft a member of Financial Commission becoming a FinaCom approved service provider and also a partner of the commission. While the initial focus of the Financial Commission was more focused towards providing dispute resolution and certification services to participants in forex and derivatives markets, the firm has also branched out into cryptocurrency community to gain increased coverage and market share in the global market with services now also extending to blockchain start-ups which seek to launch initial coin offerings. Shay is an industry veteran with more than two decades of experience in the financial service industry. And he has held multiple high-level roles in his extensive career at several industry heavyweights.

Some of the notable companies he served include Camalia Capital Market and Migdal Capital Markets.  Shay has remained a part of Airsoft since 2015 and during his tenure, he was responsible for one of the major milestones of the firm. Earlier last year, Airsoft announced share wallet solution via a partnership with digital assets exchanges facilitating its clients to gain access to trade with crypto assets. Speaking about his appointment, Peter Tatarnikov, Chairman of FinaCom commented, “Shay is a dedicated professional in trading technology and we are thrilled to have him onboard our Dispute Resolution Committee to assist us with trading related complaints and issues surrounding trading platform performance. I am sure Shay will provide our team with valuable feedback on important complaints regarding the trading of spot forex, CFDs and digital assets”.
