SET Announces SET Awards 2019 Winners to Recognize Capital Market Firms’ Business and Sustainability Excellence

SET - SET Awards 2019 winnersBANGKOK, November 26, 2019 – The Stock Exchange of Thailand today announced the SET Awards 2019 winners, in which the Best CEO Award of SET-listed companies went to Rathian Srimongkol, CEO of Krungthai Card pcl (KTC), and the Best CEO Award of mai-listed firms presented to Suwanna Chokdee-Anand, CEO of Moong Pattana International pcl (MOONG). While Peerapong Jaroon-Ek, CEO of Origin Property pcl (ORI) won this year’s Young Rising Star CEO Award. Eight companies, namely, Banpu pcl (BANPU), Bangchak Corporation pcl (BCP), Seafresh Industry pcl (CFRESH), IRPC pcl (IRPC), PTT Global Chemical pcl (PTTGC), Somboon Advance Technology pcl (SAT), The Siam Cement pcl (SCC), and Thai Oil pcl (TOP), were recognized with Sustainability Awards of Honor at the ceremony held today.

panies with excellence. Despite arisen changes and challenges, the cooperation from all parties involved and the strength of the Thai business sector have enabled them to retain their potential to grow sustainably.

This year the presentation of SET Awards 2019 has been divided into two  categories: Business Excellence and Sustainability Excellence. The Business Excellence category comprises the SET Award of Honor for one listed company, the Best Company Performance Awards for 22 companies and the Outstanding Company Performance Awards for 48 companies. Another category is the Sustainability Excellence Awards, which comprises the Sustainability Awards of Honor for eight companies, the Best Sustainability Awards for six companies, the Highly Commended in Sustainability Awards for 11 companies, and the Rising Star Sustainability Awards for nine companies.

Meanwhile, the Business Excellence category consists of seven awards: 1) Best Investor Relations Awards, 2) Best Innovative Company Award, 3) Best Securities Company Awards, 4) Best Asset Management Company Award, 5) Best Company Performance Awards, 6) Best Deal of the Year Award, and 7) Best CEO Awards and Young Rising Star Award. The Sustainability Excellence consists of three awards: 1) Best Sustainability Awards, 2) Highly Commended in Sustainability Awards, and 3) Rising Star Sustainability Awards.

The SET Awards 2019 judging committee consists of Chaiyawat Wibulswasdi, Maruey  Phadoongsidhi, Seri Chintanaseri, Santi Viriyarungsarit, Yuth Vorachattarn, Patareeya Benjapolchai, Teeranun Srihong, Pakorn Peetathawatchai, Manpong Senanarong, and Krisada Sektrakul with Amnouy Jiramahapoka as the committee’s secretary.
