Paysafe Group Onboards Sujit Unni as Chief of Technology

Paysafe Group, the UK based leading player in multinational payment solutions sector recently announced the addition of a new member to its executive leadership and management team.

As per the statement released by the firm, it has onboarded Mr. Sujit Unni to serve as its Chief Technology Officer effective immediately in its bid to strengthen its technology division. Sujit will be based out of the firm’s head office located in London and report to Group’s Chief Information Officer – Roy Aston.

As the head of technology division for the group, he is in charge of not just Paysafe brand label but also the tech division of all its subsidiaries namely – Neteller, Skill and Paysafe card. Via numerous mergers and acquisitions in which it took control of all its competitors specializing in end to end payment solutions and digital wallet, payment processing and card issues verticals – the group has emerged as one of the largest complete payment solutions package providers in today’s market. 

In his new role as Group Chief Technology Officer, Sujit is expected to be responsible for driving the groups’ technology strategy and design/architecture of its end-to-end technology landscape. The incoming executive is a veteran in the financial services industry with nearly 15 years of experience having served in tier 1 firms across US & UK and brings with his extensive knowledge and experience in technology transformation.

Before taking on his new role with Paysafe Group, he served under another UK based leading financial service provider Barclays for nearly three years. During his term under Barclays, he held the roles of Chief Information Officer for its Indian Card Platforms and Managing Director/CIO for UK’s lending platform which included its open banking, pos finance, cards, loans and mortgage units. Aside from his current role as Group CTO at Paysafe, he is also serving as a member of Growth Advisory Board in Tricentis having held the role for three years now. 

Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President of Product Development at Vantiv for three years during which he played a pivotal role in improving the firm’s e-commerce and ISV models by leveraging its in-store payments processing technology infrastructure. Earlier in his career, he served as Executive Director of Risk & Finance Technology in JP Morgan Chase for three years and as Vice President of Technology Services at HSBC Bank N A for nearly 5 years as per information in his LinkedIn profile.

Commenting on his new role at the firm, Mr. Unni said, “Paysafe has a really clear technology vision and I’m really looking forward to working with Roy and the whole team to drive it forward”.
