Ohpen Promotes CTO Joost Reijnen to Executive Board

Ohpen, the Dutch FinTech firm specialising in cloud based banking platform has revealed the addition of new member to its executive board in its latest announcement. As per statement released by the firm, it has promoted its current Chief Technology Officer Mr. Joost Reijnen to become a member of its executive board. Mr. Reijnen joined the firm back in April of 2016 as Chief of Development and Cloud Engineering and was promoted to the role of Chief Technology Officer in April of 2017. His promotion to member of executive board comes in great part due to his contributions and work with the firm’s ever evolving and growing engineering team which helped the firm achieve its current level of success with its first cloud native core banking platform. In his new role as member of executive board, Joost will be responsible for realisation of new products from which the firm as they make their debut in market and will also be in charge of overseeing continuous integration, delivery and deployment of new products within the Ohpen platform as the firm continues to further transform its existing banking solutions into a completely serverless cloud core banking platform.

Joost is a veteran with nearly 20 years of experience in dealing with tech based product development and management across wide range of industries. Before joining Ohpen, he served at back base for nearly three years during which he held the roles of Tribe lead, product manager and technical product owner and helped the firm with development of its front end and back end stacks for digital banking. Before that he served as Product Manager at Bell ID for two years. Some of his other notable roles include – Product and Development Manager at Informaat, Product Manager Technology at Kennisnet, Product Manager Innovations at Rabo Mobiel, Product Manager at Logica CMG and Commercial Product Manager at CMG Wireless Data Solutions. One of his most notable career achievements include launch of first mobile banking web and apps for RaboBank in 2007.

Commenting on Joost’s addition to executive board, Chris Zadeh – Founder & Chair of Supervisory Board said “We are excited to welcome Joost to our board of directors.
