Marnix Zwart Joins Standard Chartered As Global Head of Partnerships

Standard Chartered - Marnix ZwartStandard Chartered, a leading multinational banking and financial services provider has revealed the appointment of Mr. Marnix Zwart as its Global head of partnerships for retail banking division in its latest update. Marnix’s appointment to this new role is effective immediately and he will be based in the bank’s Singapore office and report to Mr. Aalishaan Zaidi – Global Head of Client Experience/Channels/Digital Banking. In his role as head of the partnership division for retail banking unit, Mr. Zwart is expected to design the firm’s partnership agenda and evaluate potential partner opportunities in a bid to expand the firm’s market reach and client base. The incoming executive is a renowned entrepreneur and veteran in financial services industry with two decades of experience. He most recently served as CEO of brokerage unit of GOBear one of leading financial services comparison website in Southeast Asia.

Marnix was one of the Co-Founders of GOBear – the Singapore headquartered firm and has served in the roles of its Chief Product Officer and Chief Commercial Officer aside from the role of CEO. Prior to that, he served as Chief Product Officer of Kroodle – a Netherland based digital insurance service provider which he Co-Founded back in 2012. Earlier in his career, he spent nearly a decade serving in Aegon – another Netherland based firm where he held multiple roles namely – VP of Strategy & Innovation, Digital Director, Project Leader of Digital Team and senior relationship manager for Corporate & Institutional clients. He began his career in financial services industry as an Account Manager at ING Bank in Netherlands for its Private Banking unit after graduating with a bachelor’s degree in commercial economics from Hague University of Applied Sciences.

Speaking about Marnix’s addition to his team, Mr. Aalishaan said “Marnix is joining my team at an exciting time.
