UK-based multinational retail broker ATFX recently revealed in an announcement that the firm has hired a new executive to lead its latest venture – ATFX connect, a trading outfit targeting institutional clients. ATFX is the trading name of AT Global Markets Ltd, a firm that is registered and regulated by several major regulatory bodies such as FCA, FSA, FSC and CySEC and has a vast global presence. The firm which is widely known and popular in the market for its retail services began its new business venture a couple of months ago and officially launched its institutional broker business division “ATFX Connect” in mid-September earlier this year. While the new venture has been launched under a new brand label it will serve as a part of ATFX’s retail broker arm rather than as an independent entity.
The incoming executive Mr. Marc Taylor will take on the role of Head of Institutional Sales and his new role at the firm is effective immediately. In his role as head of institutional sales, Marc is expected to lead the newly launched institutional sales division into onboarding new institutional clients made up of hedge funds, brokers, asset managers and family offices. The incoming executive has more than a decade of experience serving in the financial services industry and has held senior-level management roles in several industry-leading financial service providers and tier 1 banking service providers. Some of the most notable roles in his career include – Head of FX night execution desk at COEX Partners Ltd, Director of FX Sales at ANZ, Jefferies and Credit Suisse and he has also served as member of FX Cash Administration Team at State Street.
Speaking about Marc’s new role at the firm, Wei Qiang Zhang – Managing Director of ATFX UK commented, “ATFX Connect is proud to have a new addition to our dynamic team. Marc is an ideal candidate to lead the firm’s new product in the UK market given the fact that he has spent the last decade based out of London and focused entirely on the UK market.
