Crypto and Fiat currencies exchange service provider Liquid Financial USA Inc., the US division of Japan-based Cryptocurrency website Liquid.com had made an announcement recently stating that it has appointed a new CEO. As per the information provided by the firm, it has hired FX industry veteran Justin Hertzberg as its Chief Executive Officer. Liquid USA – the business operations in the US market is actually a co-owned entity of Liquid.com and Virtual Currency Partners.
VCP is a consortium of entrepreneurs who invest in firms dealing with Fintech and Cryptocurrency sectors. The US office has managed to acquire a FinCEN- registered money service business via which Liquid expects to access US security tokens markets given two of their offices which are located in New York and Atlanta.
Prior to joining Liquid Financial USA, Mr. Hertzberg served as President and Chief Executive Officer for US-based globally regulated Forex IB service provider Forest Park FX. He has been a part of Forex Park FX since 2013, and as per information in his LinkedIn profile, he continues to retain his role CEO at Forest Park FX while also serving as CEO for Liquid Financial USA. Justin Hertzberg holds an MBA degree in Finance from the University of Miami – School of Business. Post his graduation from business school he has served is some of the top players in the brokerage service sector and has more than a decade of experience under his belt. He started as Commercial Litigator for Broad and Cassel and served as Senior Vice President of Business Development at Integra FX post which he served as General Counsel in Lampost Capital which makes up the first half of his career while his tenure at Forest Park FX for nearly the last 7 years makes up the remaining half of his career.
His appointment as CEO at Liquid Financial Inc. comes within months after Liquid.com completed its Series C funding round which was led by Bitmain and IDG capital which saw the firm stand valued at a huge US$ 1 Billion making it one of the giants in Cryptocurrency industry. Another fact to be noted is that Liquid.com is the first exchange which has managed to obtain an official license from Japan Financial Service Agency (JFSA). If reports online are to be believed, the firm plans to use funds raised from recent series C round to fuel their efforts in expansion in Asian markets and in the process of building new products. Justin started his tenure with Liquid Financials USA Inc., as its CEO back in April 2019.
