Monex Group - Last Executive TeamMonex Group, the Tokyo headquarted retail brokerage and financial services provider has announced yet another scuffling of its senior level last executive team. The Japanese firm is well known for reshuffling its c-level leadership and management team and the latest announcement is sixth such announcement made since July earlier this year. However, the changes to its team while made public now will not come into effect until January of 2019. This time around the change in leadership roles take place in Monex group’s Sales and Products and Customer Support division and are set to come into effect starting 1st of January, 2020. The sales division sees the departure of its department head Mr. Junya Matsuoka who is currently serving in roles of Managing Director for the broker and Executive Director/Head for the group’s sales division.

Following the shuffle, Mr. Matsuoka will now become the Executive Director and Head of Customer Services Division and as General Manager of Corporate Planning Department while retaining his former role of Managing Director at the broker. Joining alongside Mr. Matsuoka as the Head of Customer Support division is Mr. Terumitsu Kanai who is currently serving as Senior Executive Director and Head of Products Division. Meanwhile, the power vacuum formed by the relocation of Mr. Matsuoka in Sales Division will now be filled by Mr. Katsuki Mandai who alongside Mr. Kanai had been serving as one of the leaders of Products division. Mr. Mandai is currently serving in roles of Managing Director for the broker and Vice President/Head of Products Division at Monex Inc. However, Mr. Mandai similar to Mr. Matsuoka will retain his former role as Managing Director for the broker.

It should be noted that Customer Support division of the broker saw a major restructuring activity just earlier this year in October when the firm decided to remove its Customer Services Department from Customer Services division and placing it under Sales Division. As part of this restructuring move, the firm also hired two new executives – Yukiko Isobe and Isamu Tsuchida to serve in the capacity of General Manager for its Customer Services department and corporate Administration department respectively. Some of other most notable changes made to executives who held roles in similar capacity over the second half of 2019 include the promotion of Yuko Seimei to the role of Chief Operations Officer and appointment of Mr. Toshihiko Katsuya as Chief Finance Officer alongside his existing responsibility of Senior Executive role. Earlier in September the group also appointed two new Executive Directors – Yuya Asamura and Naoyuki Kaninuma.
