Stanchion Payment Solutions is a UK based leading player in global payments systems and integration market. According to its latest announcement, it has promoted yet another executive to senior level role in less than a month. The firm has promoted Mr. Kevin Blackwell to succeed Mr. Steven Kirrage as Managing Director for its Middle East operations given the fact that Mr. Kirrage was promoted to role of its global Chief Executive Officer in late March with official announcement being made on first week of April 2020. In his new role as Managing Director of Middle East region, Kevin will be responsible for leading the firm’s growth and expansion activities in the region. Mr. Kevin has more than two decades of experience in the role of business development executive and has a successful track record having served across wide range of industries. Kevin has been a part of Stanchion Payment Solutions since 2017 when he took on the role of business development director for Middle East region. Given his extensive experience and knowledge having served across telecommunications, It and wireless lifecycle sector, he is an expert with deep understanding and experience in both business development and client relationship.
He has handled clients from both US and Middle Eastern region making him an ideal choice for role of successor to Mr. Kirrage. Before Joining Stanchion Payment Solution, he served as Programme Director at Ericsson in Dubai for more than four years. During his term with firm he had two major accomplishments namely leading account engagement in winning and maintaining largest regional IT managed service deal and key player who helped his account team lead the firm du account growth at rate of more than 25% yoy for more than three years consecutively. Prior to Ericsson, he served as Sub-Region head and Sales manager at Comptel – an IT firm specialising in telecommunications for nearly three years. Some of other notable roles he had held in his career include – PSG Director at Technology Partners FZ, Business Development Manager at Brightpoint in Miami & Middle East FZ, Business Development Director in Telos Technology & Argent Networks limited.
Commenting on Mr. Blackwell’s promotion as his successor, Mr. Kirrage – Global CEO at the firm said “Kevin has deep insight into our customers’ businesses, the Middle East region and the payments market.
