Jefferies Financial Group, an investment banking company has added Shawn Egger as Senior Vice-President for Sales. Egger has extensive experience and knowledge in the foreign exchange sales segment.
As per report by FX Week, Egger will report directly to Brad Bechtel, who is the current global head of Forex and is working with Jefferies since April 2015 and was promoted to global head of forex in March this year.
Egger joined Jefferies from FX trading platform, FastMatch where he was responsible to promote its products and services to buy-side market participants and hedge-funds. He has joined FastMatch in June 2017 and prior to this, he was working with Citadel Securities where he worked in the FX Sales roles and held the position since 2014.
In his tenure with Citadel, he has helped to build out the company’s forex franchise which is now the largest client franchises in the non-banking sector. Egger moved to Citadel from Swissquote where he was the Head of Institutional Sales and before this, he worked as VP of sales at Integral Development.
Jefferies has witnessed multiple senior level hiring in recent times. Fred Jallot, the former global head of emerging markets for EMEA at Nomura joined the firm in January 2018.
