Robinhood Hires Former Amazon VP of Finance, Jason Warnic as its New Chief Financial Officer

robinhoodThe US-based popular no-fee trading app, Robinhood has announced the appointment of ex-Amazon executive Jason Warnick as its new Chief Financial Officer on Tuesday. 

Warnick will take up the position start of next week and will report directly to the company’s CEO and co-founder, Vlad Tenev. Warnick has been worked with Amazon for over 20 years joining in 1999 when it was just a simple online bookseller. 

Warnick joined Amazon as Senior Manager in its accounting division and through his next two decades of a journey in the firm, he worked his way up to the company corporate ladder and was lately working as a Director in Investor Relations and a VP of Internal Audit. He was promoted as Vice President of Finance in August last year and held the position until this week.

“From the first time we met Jason, we were amazed and humbled by his problem-solving abilities and by the depth of his strategic thinking,” said Tenev. “We look forward to working with Jason to build out our operational and financial infrastructure and continuing to deliver the best possible financial products to our customers at the best possible prices.”

Robinhood started in 2013 is a huge hit among the youngsters especially the 30 age group, providing hundreds of global stocks onto its platform. As reported by Bloomberg, the company had almost 3 million users at the start of this year.
