INFINOX has appointed James Alexander Smith as Head of Exchange Traded Derivatives and Cash Equity Desk as the brokerage expands worldwide.
The industry veteran will bring his multi-asset trading experience to the new role and bridge the gap between retail and professional traders.
His decade-long pedigree in both institutional and retail trading includes roles at Valbury Capital as Head of Multi-Asset Broking, at London Capital Group as Institutional Sales Manager, at City Credit Capital as Senior Relationship Manager, and at One Financial Markets as Retail Sales Manager in Dubai.
James Alexander Smith joins INFINOX after two years as a multi-asset brokerage consultant, providing guidance on equities, fixed income, CFDs and Exchange Traded Derivatives.
INFINOX offers derivatives investors an unmatched blend of tech and individual service. The major hire is set to boost its international growth plans.
The brokerage firm has a presence in 15 countries, and in May opened a major hub in Dubai after its Asian client-base grew by 102% in a year.
James Alexander Smith will be responsible for increasing the global reach of the brand’s exchange-traded offering. “INFINOX is a fast-growing company with an impressive global footprint in the FX and CFD space and I’m looking forward to contributing to its continued success”, said the new Head of Exchange-Traded Derivatives.
“I am very impressed with the quality of my new colleagues, the vision of management and the unique combination of technology and personal interaction INFINOX offers its clients.”
Robert Berkeley, Chief Executive Officer of INFINOX, commented: “James is already proving a valuable addition to our global team, cementing our position as a world-class multi-asset brokerage.
“His proven ability to nurture strong relationships with both professional and retail traders will be key as we seek to give more investors more ways to invest in a range of exchange-traded derivatives.”
INFINOX has recently appointed Chris Hossain-Nelson as Head of Institutional Sales to accelerate the growth of its institutional and market-making division, IX Prime.
The 25-year FX veteran joined the market infrastructure and liquidity provider from Global Market Index (GMI UK), where he was Executive Director and, prior to that, Global Head of Institutional Sales.
Mr. Hossain-Nelson, INFINOX’s strategic hire to ramp up its institutional arm, is well-known within the FX and CFD industry. He led institutional sales of FX and CFD products, as well as spread betting, at FXCM for five years.
