IG Group On-Boards New Non-Executive Director Helen Stevenson

IG Group - Helen StevensonIG Group, the UK based leading player in retail CFD trading and spread betting sectors has had a busy week. The firm most recently saw the release of its third quarter financial results which came out last Thursday. Shortly after the announcement comes another update from the firm which revealed changes made to its board of directors. As per latest update from the firm, it has onboarded Ms. Helen Stevenson as one of its Non-Executive Director while Mr. Stephen Hill has revealed his intentions to part ways with the firm as one of its board members at end of his current term later this year. Aside from taking on the role as Non-Executive Director, Ms. Helen Stevenson will also become a member of the firm’s renumeration committee. Helen joined the firm taking over both her new roles last Wednesday.

The incoming director is a veteran with more than two decades of experience marketing and senior level management roles. Helen began her career in Mars Inc and spent nearly 19 years at the firm climbing her way up the corporate ladder and held the role of European Marketing Director at time of her resignation from the firm. She then served as Chief Marketing Officer for UK region at Yell Group Plc and as Group Marketing Director at Lloyds TSB Group. She has also served as non-executive director on main board of department of work and pensions, Kin and Carta plc and Skipton Building Society. She is currently serving as member of strategic advisory board of Henley Business School, Governor of Wellington College and Non–Executive Director and member of audit and risk/nomination/remumeration committee at Reach Plc alongside her current role at IG Group Holding Plc.

Commenting on her new roles at IG Group, Ms. Helen said, “IG Group is an award-winning, multi-platform trading company with strong technology assets, a high-quality customer base and a clear and exciting growth strategy. Commenting on Helen’s addition to the board, Chairman Mike McTighe said, “Following an extensive, externally facilitated, search I am delighted to welcome Helen to the Board. She is a highly experienced Non-Executive Director with significant marketing and digital skills and experience.  Helen’s appointment complements and builds on the skills of the existing Board members and her experience in the ever-changing world of executive remuneration is especially welcome”.

Mr. Stephen Hill, the outgoing non-executive director sent his notice for resignation from the firm on Wednesday and is expected to retire from his role at end of his ongoing term on 27th April 2020 ending his nine year long reign as member of IG Group’s board of directors. However, the statement failed to mention any details on Mr. Hill’s future endevours.
