Hannah Nixon Joins Curve as Strategic Advisor

Curve - Hannah NixonCurve, the UK based financial service provider renowned for its OTT banking platform has revealed the appointment of Ms. Hannah Nixon as one of its Strategic Advisors. In her new role as the firm’s strategic advisor, Ms. Nixon will focus on advising the firm’s team handling regulatory activities and relationship. The incoming advisor has vast experience in economic regulation and competition matters having worked across a wide range of industries from both public and private sector during his career. Her immediate focus on she takes on her role will be in guiding the firm’s regulatory strategy and framework focused on UK and EU given ongoing Brexit turmoil and covid-19 crisis but is also expected to advise on a variety of regulatory matters pertaining to Curve’s overall business growth. Her most important accomplishment in her career was establishment and leading UK’s Payment Systems Regulator organization.

The Payment Systems Regulator is the first of its kind among various economic regulatory bodies from across the globe and is a major authority in charge of UK’s payment industry which handles nearly 80 Trillion GBP a year. Hannah Nixon was in charge of building up this organization from the scratch and player a key role in driving competition and innovation in payment sector using the position as first Chief Executive Officer of this regulatory body. Aside from her success in creation and growth of PSR, some of her other most notable roles include – NED of National Grid Electricity System Operator and Channel Islands Competition and Regulatory Authority, Senior Partner at Ofgem – the government regulatory body for gas and electricity in United Kingdom.

It should be noted that Curve also made several other additions to its executive team recently such as appointments of Eyal Goldberg as Head of Machine Learning, Joseph-Daniel Millwood as Head of Growth and Amanda Orson as Vice President and Head of North America.
