Gaitame Reports Weak Set of Trading Data for November Month Despite Growth in Client Account

Japan’s leading forex broking house, Gaitame on Monday has published the November trading metric, reporting yet another weak set of performance despite growth in accounts.

The November’s transactional volume was reported weak compared to both monthly and yearly figures with total coming in at ¥169.1 billion ($1.5 billion), a decline of 21.6 per cent when compared against the previous month which was ¥215.8 billion.

The total deposit with the broker at the end of November stands at ¥115.6 billion which represents a slight increase of 0.3 per cent from the previous month, as the broker recorded a figure of ¥115.2 billion in October 2018.

Moving on to the broker’s deposit totals, in November Gaitame disclosed a figure of ¥115.6 billion. This represents an ever-so-slight increase of 0.3 per cent from the previous month, as the broker recorded a figure of ¥115.2 billion in October. When compared to the yearly basis, the figure is 1 per cent less from ¥116.8 billion. For the brokerage house, the deposits were continuously on a rising trend, but from March this year, it is struggling to keep the rising trend intact.

In terms of client accounts during the month, the broker recorded a total 474,933 accounts in November, a slight increase of 2,355 accounts or 0.5 per cent compared to the previous month. Last year in November, the brokerage reported 445,917 client accounts which represent an increase of 6.1 per cent year-on-year.
