FlexTrade Systems has appointed Paul Beatty as Director of FX Business Development. The former Bloomberg Tradebook vet and industry veteran with over 25 years’ experience in FX will be based in FlexTrade’s New York office.
Beatty joins FlexTrade after a role as Managing Director at technology provider Spotex, and as a Director at TP ICAP. Prior to that, Paul has spent 17 years as a Global Managing Director Tradebook FX at Bloomberg, where he managed the global sales force and launched the first electronic anonymous FX trading platform inside the Bloomberg ecosystem. His extensive market knowledge, analytics, and technical abilities will likely prove to be fruitful for FlexTrade as he embarks on his new challenge as Director of FX Business Development.

FlexTrade’s “MaxxTrader” solution was recently selected by FXCM for its institutional business. FXCM Pro provides retail brokers, small hedge funds and emerging market banks access to wholesale execution and liquidity while providing high and medium frequency funds access to prime brokerage services via FXCM Prime.“MaxxTrader” is a White Label solution offering Desktop, Web and Mobile apps, along with distribution on the FIX API, covering an end-to-end workflow that includes Aggregation, Price creation, Distribution, Order Management, Margin Engine, Risk Management, and Auto-hedging strategies. Its out-of-the-box Algo suite features TWAP, VWAP and Basket trading, which can be used internally and offered directly to clients.
FlexTrade Systems has recently integrated the Bernstein Cube into the FlexTRADER EMS in order to provide traders with comprehensive portfolio construction, risk analysis, and pre-trade system right from the blotter. The multi-asset execution and order management systems company, The Bernstein Cube is considered an “ideal addition” because of its multi-day pre-trade model for single stock and portfolio level trades which incorporate overnight risk and forecast impact based on the selected execution strategy.
FlexTrade Systems also announced the integration of SmartStream RDU with the FlexTRADER EMS to allow mutual clients the ability to embed SmartStream RDU’s Systematic Internaliser (SI) Registry information directly into the send order ticket, providing the much-needed clarity on counterparty SI status and is also prior to key 2018 MiFID II milestone dates. In 2018, the EMS company also integrated the Kensho event feed and the BestX trade analytics solution for FX.
